What this project is

Himia.net is a non-profit project. It is a modern scientific reference on chemistry with a focus on the periodic table of elements. We try to collect as little data as possible and use the website mainly to provide information and receive messages through the contact form.

What data we collect

We collect only the minimum technical data necessary:

  • analytics and technical metrics through Cloudflare, including anonymized information about IP, performance and website traffic;
  • data that you submit yourself through the contact form, including your email and the text of your message.

There are no accounts, registration, or personal dashboards on the website.

What data we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect or store:

  • account and login data;
  • payment information;
  • sensitive personal data;
  • advertising profiles;
  • data for marketing tracking.

We do not sell personal data and do not use the website for behavioral advertising.

Cookies

We use only technical cookies, if they are used at all. They are necessary for security, stable website operation, and basic functionality.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

Third parties

We use Cloudflare for website delivery, protection, and basic analytics. Cloudflare may process a limited amount of technical data related to the operation of the website.

Other than that, we do not transfer your data to third parties, except in cases where it is necessary for the operation of the website or to respond to your message.

How long we keep data

We try to keep as little data as possible.

  • technical data is processed through Cloudflare within the framework of their retention policy;
  • if you send us a message, we may keep it only for as long as necessary to respond and process your request.

Your rights

If GDPR or other applicable data protection laws apply to you, you may request access to your data, its correction, or deletion.

However, since we do not create user accounts and store almost no personal data, in many cases we may not have any data that can be deleted, except for messages that you yourself sent through the contact form.
